The goal of the Idle Sites Redevelopment Program is to incent community redevelopment of sites that have been idle, abandoned, or underutilized for a period of at least five years in the state of Wisconsin.

The Idle Sites Redevelopment Program provides incentives to help rejuvenate abandoned, blighted sites and to assist in elevating local economies. Approved projects can use funds for demolition, environmental remediation, infrastructure, or site-specific improvements to advance the site to shovel-ready status or enhance the site’s market attractiveness.
Funding Amount: Up to $500,000 or 30% of cost.
