RUEKERT & MIELKE, INC. EXPANDS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TEAM TO HELP CLIENTS OVERCOME CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT CONSTRAINTS
Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. (R/M) is excited to announce the expansion of our Environmental Services Team with the hiring of new key project team members.
Team Leader, Ginny Plumeau, REM, is a Senior Ecologist and Registered Environmental Manger. She is a well-known regional leader in ecological services and permitting. Ginny has initiated growth of the Environmental Services Team with the addition of several new professional staff. These team members bring valuable wetland delineation, project management, and permitting skills to clients and to the communities and organizations they serve. Each team member will work side-by-side with clients to manage and overcome environmental project constraints in a collaborative and creative manner.
Senior Biologist Nick Connor, MS, has a focus on urban river systems and Environmental Risk Assessment. His technical experience is in critical issues and feasibility studies, ecological restoration, stream restoration, and slope stabilization for water quality and habitat improvement to help achieve both development and watershed management goals. He is a key project coordinator for site constraints analysis, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species assessments, and permitting evaluations for both municipal and private sector clients, including solar developers. Nick has conducted Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Ph I ESAs), as well as conducted surveys for woodpeckers, lynx, and goshawk populations.
Biologist Christy Poniewaz is a key project leader with the Environmental Services Team. She brings a focus on diagnosing past and current site conditions, habitats, and land use with her experience in GIS evaluation and mapping, including local restoration projects. Christy is dedicated to her new role of conducting and supporting biological field work for habitat evaluations, tree surveys and wetland delineations. Her experience in GIS systems complements her review of comprehensive records for communities and organizations. She will be supporting water resources and environmental studies in providing storm water modeling, as well. She has experience in conservation, environmental science, land management restoration, wetland ecology, GIS, and arboriculture. Christy is a Certified Interpretive Guide. She is also a Certified Beekeeper, giving her special insight into the critical role of pollinators in native habitats.
Water Resources Engineer Scott Weyandt, P.E. serves as a resource to R/M to provide practical insight and design guidance on complex projects involving stormwater, shoreline, and floodplain studies. He provides technical expertise related to planning, permitting, and mitigation. He brings a wealth of experience related to agency involvement in environmental permitting (USACE, USFWS, and multiple state agencies).
R/M is pleased to welcome its new team members Nick, Christy, and Scott. She said “We are excited to offer the benefits of their expertise in site development, habitat and wetlands assessments, restoration and water resources permitting to local communities and clients throughout the Midwest”.
